Explore, Grow, escape: art and practice

Reaching the halfway point of 2022 and the travels over the summer have been rejuvenating and inspiring. Something turned and accessing creative inspiration and expression has become a stronger goal of mine than ever.

Experiences, studying, learning, and growing over the young years of my adulthood have taught me a lot about my art and interests. Taking breaks in creating, creating mindlessly, creating escapingly, and finally now creating intentionally. It feels like a flow and a cycle all in one in this magical world I find myself in.

Taking myself through sketchbook journeys and practices has allowed me to explore and play with this. The importance of play... many can tell you more about that... but let me show you mine:

A little "side effect" of all of this, it has allowed me to see my social media for my art as a place of process rather than it having to be a final product. It is turning into my online sketchbook to play with for myself and anyone who connects with it.

My Art is about capturing and illustrating moments in the day, places, and people. Getting comfortable pulling out a camera or sketchbook to explore what the moment means to me and what I bring out onto the page.
