Rigoletto

Rigoletto might be my favourite opera this season (2024/2025). This production was originally staged in Gothenburg, Sweden. That way the concept of the entire piece existed already and we had to adapt the set and costumes to our people and stage. The costume designer, Pascale Martin, came by for a couple of days to the fittings of the soloists, where we fitted the existing costumes and improvised new ones if the original ones did not fit. It was a fun working process and involved much more organising compared to other productions where the creative process was at the forefront.
