Last night (02.08.19) my dad was so kind to get us some tickets to see "The Barbershop Chronicles" at the Roundhouse in London.

The play was set in six different cities, in one day, containing a range of stories from the different characters. In the African culture, Barbershops have always been a place to go and discuss the world from any kind of perspective.

Bijan Sheibani (Olivier award winner) directed the play and the set was designed by Rae Smith, who also designed the set of the War Horse.

This piece made me and the rest of the audience laugh at times and gave me a deeper understanding and insight into the African culture all around the world. It was so beautiful to see how they lightly discuss topics that are historical, political, or just simply humorous and that this Barbershop culture has remained part of them all around the world.

I generally really enjoy going to the Roundhouse and seeing any kind of performance there, let it be music, a play, or even a beach.

Looking forward to the future!
